Quick start: your first trip
End to end — add a member, book a trip, assign a driver, complete it, and bill it.

This walkthrough takes one trip through the whole system: member → booking → driver → completion → billing. Fifteen minutes, and you'll have touched every core module.
Before you start
You'll need at least one driver with a vehicle scheduled for today (Employees → their row → Manage schedule: enable today, set a vehicle) and, if anyone but the member pays, a payer with a rate sheet (Settings → Payers). Both are covered in Setting up your team and Payer setup.
1. Add the member
- Open Members → + Add Member.
- Enter the name, phone, address, and their default mobility type under Service Details.
- Click Save Member. (Full field reference.)
2. Book the trip
- Click Create Trip in the sidebar.
- Pick your new Member, choose the Funding Source (use Private Pay for this test), leave the schedule on One-time with today's date.
- Fill in Leg A: pickup address, dropoff address, and a Scheduled Pickup Time about an hour out.
- Click Save trip. (Details on every field.)
3. Assign the driver
- Open Dispatch. Your trip is in the Unassigned pool on the left rail.
- Drag it onto your driver — or tick its checkbox and use Assign.
- The trip lands in the driver's lane as two stops (pickup and dropoff) in run order. (Board guide.)
4. Run the trip
If a real driver has the app, they'll see the trip on their Trips screen and tap Pick up, then Drop off — watch the statuses change live on your board.
To simulate it from the office: open each stop's ⋮ Stop actions menu — Mark picked up on the pickup, then Mark dropped off on the dropoff. (Pickup first — ZeitRide enforces the order.) The stops turn green and the driver's progress bar completes. (Stop actions.)
5. Bill it
- Open Billing. Your completed trip is on Ready to Bill for today with the Invoice billing method (it's private pay).
- Click Generate invoice, confirm the amount and description, and Create invoice.
- Click Manage invoice → Send invoice, and later Mark paid. (Invoicing guide.)
Broker-funded trips follow the same path but end with Submit to broker instead — see Submitting broker claims.
Where to go next

- Connect your broker: How broker trips arrive
