Navigating the portal

ZeitRide is organized around a left sidebar of modules, a top bar with page tools, and slideout panels that open on the right so you never lose your place in a list.

The sidebar

At the top sits the always-available Create Trip button, then the modules, grouped by how teams work:

What you see depends on your role — modules you lack permission for simply don't appear (see Roles and permissions). At the bottom: your profile block (click to edit your own details) and Sign out.

The top bar

Every page's top bar shows the page title plus, on the right:

• Notifications bell — alerts such as compliance expirations, with Mark all as read and a full notifications panel
• Help and support (life-ring icon) — Support to open or track a ticket, and Help Center for this documentation
• Refresh — reload the page's data without a browser refresh
• Company pill — your company name and its Company ID (the 6-character code drivers use to sign in to the driver app). If your account belongs to multiple companies, this becomes a Switch company menu.

Slideouts, not page hops

ZeitRide's core pattern: click a row — a member, employee, vehicle, trip — and the record opens in a slideout panel on the right, with tabs for its details. The list stays behind it, saves keep the slideout open, and closing it drops you exactly where you were. You'll meet the same pattern everywhere, so the whole app feels familiar after the first page.

Handy behaviors

• Week strips — Trip List and Dispatch use a week strip with per-day trip counts for fast day switching.
• Filters — list pages share a single Filters button that opens chip-style filters; active filters show as a count on the button.
• Search — most tables have a search box; on the Trip List, pressing / focuses it.
• Column settings — tables with a gear/columns control let you choose, reorder, and freeze columns per page.
• Changing filters dims the current rows while fresh data loads instead of blanking the page — if you see dimmed rows, results are on the way.

Live views on the dashboard

The dashboard includes two live operations views alongside the alerts:

• Idle drivers — every clocked-in driver with no trip currently in motion, with minutes until their next pickup (drivers on lunch shown separately). Refreshes every minute.
• Peak times — today's pickups hour by hour, split into assigned vs unassigned, with the number of scheduled drivers overlaid — an at-a-glance view of when you'll need more drivers or should farm trips out.
