Text messages from your ride provider

SMS program: ZeitRide Alerts & Updates · Operated by Prasar Health LLC, d/b/a ZeitRide · Last Updated: October 21, 2026

What this program is

ZeitRide is scheduling and dispatch software used by non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) providers. Prasar Health LLC (formerly ZeitRide Health LLC), doing business as ZeitRide (“ZeitRide”), sends ride-related text messages on behalf of the transportation providers that use ZeitRide. Every message names your provider and ZeitRide, for example “ABC Transport (via ZeitRide): …”. We send only transactional, service-related messages. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.

Riders receive

  • Ride booking confirmations
  • A reminder before the scheduled pickup
  • “Driver on the way” with estimated arrival
  • “Driver has arrived”
  • Replies to questions the rider texts in

Drivers & staff receive

  • Work notices about assigned trips
  • Expiring license or certification reminders
  • Vehicle maintenance reminders
  • Secure invoice payment links, when requested

Sample messages

ABC Transport (via ZeitRide): Hi Maria, your ride is booked for Tue 10/7 at 8:15 AM, from 123 Main St to Riverside Dialysis. Call us with any changes. Reply STOP to opt out.

ABC Transport (via ZeitRide): James is on the way to pick you up at 123 Main St. Estimated arrival 8:12 AM.

How riders opt in

Text messages are sent only to people who have agreed to receive them. Riders are opted in in one of two ways — by the provider’s staff at booking, or through their transportation broker’s referral — and any rider can also opt in by texting START. Consent is not a condition of service: riders who do not opt in still get their rides and are contacted by phone call instead.

1

At booking, by phone or in person

When a rider books a ride, the provider’s staff ask for a mobile number and read this script:

“May we text you about your rides at this number? Msg & data rates may apply; reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”

Only if the rider says yes, staff check the Allow SMS consent box on the rider’s profile in ZeitRide. Riders added by the provider’s office start with it off, and no texts are sent while it is off. This is what staff see:

2

Referred by your transportation broker or health plan

Many rides are arranged by the rider’s Medicaid or health-plan transportation broker, which refers the ride to the provider together with the rider’s mobile number. The rider gave that number to their broker or plan and agreed to be contacted about their rides.

  • Texts are sent only if the provider has turned on rider text messages in ZeitRide. If they have not, the rider’s SMS setting stays off.
  • A number that has replied STOP is never opted back in by a new referral or re-import.
  • The rider can reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time.
3

By texting START

Any rider can text START to their provider’s text number at any time to opt in (or back in after STOP). They receive this confirmation:

You are now opted in to ride and account messages from your transportation provider via ZeitRide. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.

Drivers and office staff

Drivers and office staff opt in when their employer onboards them in ZeitRide and they provide a mobile number for work notifications. Each person has their own SMS setting they can turn off at any time, or they can reply STOP.
