The Live Map

The Live Map (sidebar → Operations → Live Map) shows where your fleet is right now. It's a full-screen map with one marker per driver/vehicle, updating automatically while you keep it open.

Reading the map

• Each vehicle appears as an arrow marker that rotates to its direction of travel, labeled with the driver's name and the vehicle.
• Green markers are online — the driver's app (or the vehicle's dash cam, depending on your settings) is actively reporting GPS. Gray markers are offline.
• The legend at the bottom-left explains the colors: Online, Offline, Pickup, Dropoff.

Positions refresh automatically every 30 seconds (paused while the browser tab is hidden, with a catch-up refresh when you return).

Map controls

• Traffic: On / Off — toggle the live traffic overlay.
• Fit all — zoom the map to show every vehicle at once.

Vehicle details

Click any vehicle marker to open its info card:

• Online / Offline status and Last ping (for example "Just now" or "5 min ago")
• Vehicle identity — fleet number, year, name, plate, VIN
• Driver currently on the vehicle
• Odometer and Current location (a readable address)
• Members onboard — who is in the vehicle right now
• Today's trips — the driver's trips with live status badges and a summary such as "2 on vehicle · 1 awaiting pickup"

Where the GPS comes from

• By default, positions come from the driver app, which shares location during the driver's shift at the interval you configure under Settings → Driver app (see Company settings tour). Pings stop when the driver clocks out.
• If your company has Dash Cam telematics enabled, you can switch the live map's location source to the dash cam under Settings → Telematics — the camera reports positions continuously without needing the driver app open. See Dash Cam.

Tip: A gray (offline) marker during a shift usually means the driver's app was force-closed or lost signal — or, on the dash cam source, the vehicle is powered off. Check Last ping on the vehicle card before calling the driver.

Today's trips on a vehicle

Clicking a vehicle now also shows Today's trips — the vehicle's whole day, one line per trip with a live status badge: En route, Arrived, On board (with the destination address), Completed, Upcoming, plus no-shows and cancellations. Times show the actual when captured, otherwise the scheduled time, with a "5/8 completed" summary up top. Finished trips fold away behind a toggle so the live work stays visible. The list refreshes itself every 30 seconds while the panel is open.
