Trip history
See who scheduled, assigned, edited, cancelled or completed a trip — and when — with the old and new values.
Last updated September 30, 2026
Every trip keeps a history: a timeline of what happened to it, who did it, and when. Use it to answer questions like "who cancelled this trip?", "when was the pickup time changed?", or "which driver marked it arrived?"
Opening a trip's history
- Dispatch board (By stop and Run board): open the trip's ⋯ menu and choose Trip history.
- Trip List: open the row's ⋯ menu and choose Trip history.
- Edit trip and the trip detail panel: scroll to the History section.
In Edit trip, the History section also includes the return leg of a round trip.
What's recorded
Each entry shows the time, who made the change, and what changed — old value → new value:
- Scheduling — trip scheduled, made recurring, recurrence changed or stopped.
- Assignment — assigned to a driver, reassigned, unassigned, vehicle changed.
- Edits — pickup and appointment times, addresses, will-call on or off, mobility, funding source, and when notes were edited (the note text itself isn't copied into history).
- Status — en route, arrived, picked up / performed, completed, no-show.
- Cancellations — cancelled with the reason, reinstated, turned back.
Who made the change
- An office user — shown by name, for anything done in ZeitRide on the web.
- A driver — for actions from the driver app, like "Driver Mac marked arrived at pickup".
- Broker update — changes that arrived from your broker's trip feed.
- Auto-assign — assignments made by automatic scheduling.
- System — automatic background work, such as rebuilding a recurring trip's upcoming days.
Good to know
- History starts on September 30, 2026. Changes made before then aren't in the timeline — you'll see "No changes recorded for this trip yet" on older trips until something changes.
- Behind-the-scenes time estimates (the constantly updating ETAs) aren't recorded, so the timeline only shows real changes.
- History is read-only. It can't be edited or deleted.
